Our sailing courses are designed to teach the fundamentals of small boat sailing to help you make the most of what Spot Pond has to offer!
5-Week Kids and Teen Beginner Sailing Course
Set sail for summer fun!
In this exciting five-week course, kids and teens will learn the basics of sailing through hands-on activities, games, and teamwork. Each 2.5-hour session builds skills in a relaxed, supportive environment where safety and smiles come first. Whether they’ve never stepped on a boat or are just getting started, this course is the perfect way to make new friends and discover the joy of sailing! We’ll focus on rigging, handling, knot tying, sail trim, tacking, jibing, docking, safety, and rules on the water.

4-Week Adult Beginner Sailing Course
Learn to sail — no experience needed!
Join us for four fun, interactive 3-hour sessions where you’ll learn the basics of sailing in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere. Whether you’re looking for a new hobby, outdoor adventure, or a way to meet new people, this course is for you.
We’ll focus on rigging, handling, knot tying, sail trim, tacking, jibing, docking, safety, and rules on the water.
Experienced instructors provide a blended learning experience of classroom and on the water instruction. Upon course completion, students will be able to confidently and skillfully skipper a Cape Cod Mercury 14 in mild to moderate winds. Come aboard and sail with confidence!

Need a sailing tune-up?
If it’s been a while since you last hoisted the sail, this one-time group refresher is just what you need to feel confident on the water again. Brush up on the basics, practice key skills, and get back in the sailing groove with others who are in the same boat!
