Off-Site Rental Rates

Want to rent a boat, but don’t want to be limited to one of our locations? Call to reserve a boat, then pick it up at our Boston Rental Location or the Historic Newton Boathouse. We’ll provide PFDs, paddles, and equipment to transport the boat on your car. We can also deliver boats to the location of your choice.

You can also add 15 days of Off-Site Rental to your Season Pass for a very reasonable fee.

Important Info

  • All persons 16 or over who will be using the boat (including all who will use a double kayak or canoe) must read the informational materials listed above and sign a release.
  • You must be at least 18 years of age to rent a boat (16 with parental signature on rental waiver); you are welcome to bring children of all ages. See our complete Age Policy.
  • If you pick up a boat after 5pm, or drop it off before Noon, you are not charged for that day's rental.
  • Rented boats cannot be used in whitewater.
  • Off-site rentals are available only from our Newton Historic Boathouse or our Allston/Brighton location. Our other locations do not offer off-site rentals.
  • Reservations are accepted by calling (617) 965-5110. Pre-payment of the first two days of rental (or one day, if you will only be renting for a day) is required to reserve. Cancellations made at least 48 hours before your requested pick-up time will receive a refund less a 10% cancellation fee; we are not able to offer refunds for cancellations made after that time. If you cancel due to weather at any time before you are scheduled to pick up the boat, we will issue a credit that can be used for anything we do.
